Each female figure is wearing the same flowing dress that is outlined in black ink. Each figure has wings and a halo, suggesting that they are angels. Each figure's wings are slightly different: the one furthest to the left has wings decorated with circles; the one in the centre has squares that are each outlined by a circle; and the one on the right has crosses that are each outlined by a circle. The tops of their wings extend out in three parts above their heads, and down to their fingers; where they overlap they intertwine, creating a weave pattern. The space between the figures is filled with black ink. While the headpiece is mostly open, there is a border that runs across the bottom of the ornament, but as it extends upward it morphs into the rest of the image.
