At the centre of the ornament is a triangle with angular line patterns inside. On either side of the triangle is a human face, resting on a cross-shaped design. Wings extend from either side of each face; the wings begin with a curved pattern before extending out in sharp diagonals. The wings are angled, so that their tips point towards the top two corners of the page. Above each face are ribbons that interlace to form knotwork, each extending out into three points; two of these points reach out towards the top two points of the wings, and the third points straight up. The ornament is almost identical on both sides; however, there are small differences where the ribbons overlap. The insides of the knots, as well as spaces spread throughout the bottom of the ornament, are filled with black ink. At the centre of the ornament is a human face, facing front, resting chin on interlaced hands, with elbows extended to the edge of the ornament. On either side of the face there are interlacing ribbons that form a knot under each arm. Wings extend from either side of the face.
