At the centre of the ornament is a triangle with angular line patterns inside. On either side of the triangle is a human face, resting on a cross-shaped design. Wings extend from either side of each face; the wings begin with a curved pattern before extending out in sharp diagonals. The wings are angled, so that their tips point towards the top two corners of the page. Above each face are ribbons that interlace to form knotwork, each extending out into three points; two of these points reach out towards the top two points of the wings, and the third points straight up.
