The pictorial ornament extends half way down the letterpress beside the first paragraph. In the foreground, a woman with dark hair stands upright, bending her right knee slightly and leaning back with her upper body. Her head is turned to the left so that only the side of her face is illuminated. The woman is naked beneath a transparent gauzy fabric decorated with flowers. A garland or tiara enrcircles the woman’s head, and a bright full moon behind her head gives the effect of a nimbus.
