The bird’s head rests atop the horizontal bar of the “T”, while the full bird sits inside the vertical curve of the “T” with its feet extending outside the bottom. A looping knot and string wraps around the neck of the cradled bird and the end of the string is held in the beak of the bird whose head extends from the top right of the letter. The larger bird, featured in the centre of the initial, has a pattern of three white crosses in a box going across its neck. The initial is borderless; the letter “T” is filled in with black ink save for a thin white line.
