At the top of the cross is a human head. Its hair is split into eight sections, four on either side. Each section extends down and ends in a slight curve, getting thicker as it moves away from the face. The space in between each section of hair is filled with black ink. The face has a mustache and short beard, split into eleven sections. The large cross forming the body has a hand extending from either side, and two feet, turned out, from the bottom. The geometric ornament is comprised of various shapes, lines, and ribbons., interlacing and knotting. At the centre is a pattern of small circles, a few of which are filled with black ink. Curved, double-ruled lines surround this pattern of circles, and then extend out to form the remainder of the ornament. Two diamonds filled with black ink are on either side of the centre, angled so that their tips point towards the top corners of the page. The lines extend down to form a point at the bottom of the ornament. Two triangles filled with black ink are placed just underneath the centre of the ornament, so that their tips point toward the bottom point of the ornament.
